Hinksey Hill Ward vacancy

The Council now has a vacancy in the Hinksey Hill ward, following the recent resignation of Christine Chater after serving on the Council for ten years.

A by-election to fill the vacancy may be held if within 14 days (not counting a Saturday or Sunday, Bank Holiday, or a day appointed for public mourning or thanksgiving) from 10th November 2022, ten electors for the Hinksey Hill ward give notice in writing claiming such an election to the Returning Officer.

Vale of White Horse District Council, Abbey House, Abbey Close, ABINGDON, OX14 3JE.

If no such notice is given, the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.

Flood Alleviation Scheme Planning Application

The Parish Council has submitted a response to the planning application for the Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme. The Council had requested and been given an extension to the consultation deadline. Hinksey Heights Landowner Deposit

The owner of land at Hinksey Heights has submitted a Highways Statement to Oxfordshire County Council which prevents unrecorded public rights of way from being legally recorded on the basis of presumed dedication in the future.
