Unsafe Headstones

The inspection of all the headstones in the burial ground has identified five headstones that will need to be laid down in the grave space, if not repaired, and eight that will need to be secured to a wooden stake with tape, if not repaired. A notice at the burial ground lists thse 13 headstones.

The five headstones that will need to be laid down are those for Marshall BAYLISS, Florence FRANKLIN, Suzette HAROLD, Christine HOLDING, and Frederick and Diana LITTEN.

The eight headstones that will need to be secured to a wooden stake with tape are those for: Winifred and Harold BENNETT, Lilian and Irene BROCKS, Maurice EAST, Gordon and Joan HUMPHREYS, Edward SIMMS, Sylvia TIMMS, Christopher and Nigel WALTER, and Clara and Aubrey YOUNG.

Hinksey Heights Landowner Deposit

The owner of land at Hinksey Heights has submitted a Highways Statement to Oxfordshire County Council which prevents unrecorded public rights of way from being legally recorded on the basis of presumed dedication in the future.
