Welcome to South Hinksey Parish Council

Parish councils are the grass-roots of local government, and South Hinksey Parish Council has a number of roles including maintaining local amenities; representing parishioners views on local strategy, planning applications, and consultations; providing grants for community groups and projects; and informing parishioners on local news.

We are here to help support you and represent your views and welcome input from parishioners. If you have any issues that you would like the Parish Council to help with, or if you simply want to find out more about what we do then please contact the Clerk or one of the Councillors.

We hold a meeting each month which is open for any members of the public to attend. A public forum is held at the beginning of every meeting so that you can put forward your views.

We are pleased to inform you that the public consultation for 🚌 OxBus 2040: Plan for Bus 🚌 is now live on Let’s Talk Oxfordshire! View the documents and complete the survey online by clicking HERE

To promote the consultation, County Council officers will be holding Public Consultation Drop-In Events in Banbury, Oxford, Witney and Didcot. At these events officers will be available to answer questions and listen to concerns. The events are being held in:

  📍 Witney Corn Exchange – Tuesday 3rd November 1000-1400 & 1500-1900

  📍 Oxford Cowley, Templars Square – Wednesday 4th November 1300-1600

  📍 Oxford City Centre, Westgate Library Foyer – Friday 6th November 1000-1700

  📍 Banbury Town Hall – Monday 9th November 1000-1400 & 1500-1900

  📍 Didcot, Cornerstone Arts Centre – Friday 13th November 1000-1400 & 1500-1900
